Mods - how the heck do you install them?

I just cant put my head around it - l just cant seem to install succesfully a livery mod for example the 2000s Ford Focus. Instructions arent clear enough lol. pls halp

Most Mod's have a "Read me" explaining where / how to replace the Files.

Do notice that you don't see the Custom Livery in the Liveries / Garage page, ingame. They only show while you are racing with the car. If you need any other help or have any doubts on how to replace a livery, just ask.

Simply need to overwrite the appropriate files. Any custom livery is going to replace one of the defaults.

Like in your case you could download this livery:
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/ford-focus-rs-wrc01-2001-mcrae-sainz.7494/

Unpack it and overwrite all the files in the following folder(s):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\DiRT Rally\cars\models\fow\livery_41(44)\textures_high\

The McRae livery will replace the white (1/7), the Sainz the blue (7/7) default.

Well ♥♥♥♥♥, l didnt know about the fact that the mod liveries dont show up in the "garage". Now l managed to install the mod l wanted. Cheers.

Is there any way to update the garage previews so they reflect the custom liveries you have installed? Surely it's the matter of overwriting the approriate files responsible for garage previews?

Do not really understand how to use it.
How do you select different skins for the same car?
I see only the picture but not the file that I want to install, Can you perhaps even clearly explain how you classifies the mod livery folder just to make it work with the manager. I have now extracted the rar files in a specific folder but the manager can not choose different skins.
