Awesome news Gaudin. I will have another go too at some point. What version of Revive did you use, 1.3?
Gaudin 2016年12月11日 4時23分
I use Version 1.0.3, the latest release I think

It's a real blast, the tracks lock more real and even more dangerous than on screens, I'm terrible slow, again - bumping and moving all over the place, have to learn the whole thing off driving smooth AND fast again. The two dailies I totally messed up, retired both with broken tires. Always crashing the front right side, have to get used to the dimensions of the car - kinda hard to feel where it *ends".

Back to basics now, slow is fast!

At the moment I'm trying to fiddle with graphic settings, performance is ok, having a slight blurry vision if goin very sideways (and I have to remember to turn my head to see where to go next)

Any tips or experience what settings to change for even better performance or details?

Bytheway: The car interiors look stunning, Ford'01 with lots of carbon and switches I would like to touch. Would be nice if my co-driver would give me a high five if I had a clean stage :P
Still needs official Vive support.
There is no try icon for revive. Once installed it is... installed. It kicks in when called for. If you see the revive button near the bottom of the pop up vr steam menu... then you're installed. At this point you forgot about revive and just run your games. It's been a very easy setup and process for me so far. Though no clear instructions... I just plug away logically and when something doesn't work (Dirts 32 bit file was something I just stumbled onto which fixed it for those having problems). Games will just work - or you need to install the .dll files into the root by the .exe (some you drag and drop to start them, but most just run from the menu). I would TEST it by calling up oculus home and testing on some free oculus titles. From there you know it's installed and working and you can then aim for steam titles one by one. I'd start with something that's easy to run (old sure bet) and get that going before aiming for DIRT because it's newer and was a little quriky to get going. I also have OLDER version of revive and the new 1.x betas are still being tweaked. Think in terms of phases and start with easy phase one (running rift titles from oculus home).
GREAT glad to hear it. GRAPHICS - are poor on vive. I know = ( You can supersample some... but still not the best. YES STILL NEED NATIVE VIVE SUPPORT. This is why I felt safe buying from Steam. I figured at worst I can run on the montior... but really wanted VR. So I play now with revive and when VIVE support is added - just download the update from steam. Pretty safe purchase. Where as a OCULUS home purchase is more scarey... if things stop working. I did have to buy damaged core there though. But was 29.00 I think and it is a must have. Oh I bought ASHAR 2 there too (cheap 9.99 I think) and very good for the price tag. Also give a look at a OLD steam game called Lunar Flight. I bought it eons ago and didn't play it much... but was interesting. I thought (needs VR) back then (2 years ago?) and now it has vive support and is so relaxing and enjoyable to play. also GREAT VALUE. With Dirt I tend to try and SIT UP HIGHER (taller) to see further down the track. I haven't played it much yet... maybe a hour tops. Not real immeservife so far - but my "WHEEL" comes monday. (tomorrow). I ordered a HORI RACING WHEEL 99.99. I usually go top of the line, but I don't typically play racing games and couldn't see spending 300+. I'll let you know how I like it if you care. Good value with 5 stars... comes with pedals (which I didn't really care about) other pricesout side of amazon were 169 (no pedals at walmart) and up. So I figured I'd grab it before the price goes up. If I don't like, I can return easily to amazon. I got the wheel because my ROTO VR chair comes in Jan and I think a wheel on the chairs table will be a great experience. On another topic I highly recommend the VirZOOM VR bike too. I think now that I have it the most time I spend in VR is on the Virzoom.
Now that you have revive setup - try Luckys tale. I'm not into those types of games (collecting coins isn't fun for me) but it has a very cool perspective where you feel "IN THE WORLD" and the underground mini games have a neat feel too.
HOW TO GET NATIVE SUPPORT? Maybe we all review with THUMBS DOWN and post nothing except "NEEDS VIVE SUPPORT" to show our numbers!
I got my wheel. (cheap one) so there is a bit of a weird "centering" feel to the wheel - you feel it when turning from right to left. It did add tot the game, but I can't connect it to my desk (table is to thick) but I got it for when my VR ROTO chair arrives. My main reason for posting is I tweaked some graphics settings and it was much improved. Mainly I think the primary change was I turned off the FXA or what ever it is to none. HOWEVER i lost all shadows in the screet (sun and shadows from trees) but it did CLEAN up the graphics for VIVE. Was more of a cartoon look and less realistic. But more fun to play since the view/road was easier to see.

Would not hesitate buying this as soon as it supported the Vive
Yep. Needs proper Vive support.
+1 +1 +1
Just a bit more whining to CM and this thread will have more posts than the screenshot thread.
Please, Vive support - or an official explanation to put this to rest.
Definitely needs official VIVE support!
