Running a 4K monitor at ultra-wide aspect ratio??

Is it possible to run a 4K screen at a 21:9 aspect ratio?
This has come about because i'm starting to finally practice sweden and linking together slides between left and right turns. This means I approach a right-hard turn while still pointing to the left, but it's very difficult to see the corner as i'm facing a little bit away from it in headcam. Basically, a triple monitor setup would help, or an ultrawide setup, but I don't have that, I have a large 4K screen instead and I'm wondering what it would look like if i sacrificed some black bars at the top and bottom of the screen to run it in a 3840x1646 resolution (and how would I even do it?!). Obviously I could change the FOV, but that messes with the vertical scaling too, I just want more of the sides! Any help appreciated!

If it`s only scales on 1 direction, it will be stretched. You don`t want that.
Increase the FOV and cover top and bottome of screen with cardboard if that is important ;)

you might be onto something with the cardboard, or blanking panels as I will choose to call them. I'll play with both resolution and FOV and see what happens. Cheers.

LOL... I only publish my WR`s, so it was that video or another one. :) To be honest, I don`t pomote my videos except in the bragging thread ;) There is a bumper cam of the Fulvia if you want to check that out. (I`ll strain myself from posting/promoting it here ;) ) Might help to have a comparison when you adjust your FOV.

Anyway, would be interesting if you could share a video if you find a FOV setting thats working.
Or at least a sceenshot with max FOV or something.
