MOMO is still great wheel for some 30$ in good condition, with proper setting I dont feel any troubles even in DIRT
if i never would have gotten the G29, i wouldn't have known how big difference there is to better wheels and what i was missing.
I actually drove faster with the MOMO than i do today - because the SAT FFB makes the game harder than it should be.
Logitech really dropped the ball on their new wheel.
I sold my MOMO after getting the G25, so I can't go back - but your story makes me feel pretty good about that fact. :)
Cheers.
I completely agree.
G29 is too expensive - but the price is dropping quite fast. so eventually it might match the hardware like the G27
Buttons and layout on the G29 is pretty good - but only if you sit in front of a TV playing PS4 - most of the buttons are impossible to use while driving.
And i also miss more buttons on the H-Shifter ... which is too expensive and ridicolous that you have to buy separately... the Mechanics of the H-Shifter also feel cheap... but it works.
The thing i've missed the most is the Gear-lever that i had on the MOMO.. it was perfect for Handbrake.
Believe me... stationary paddles is what you want.
When my G29 rotates 270 degrees because of some spin-out and i need to shift down or up.. then i make mistakes all the time because it's impossible to know what paddle is up and which is down.
stationary paddles is therefore much better !
A wheel will live longer than 3 generations of PC's, so in that sense it is quite cheap.
and BTW... a wheel IS a PC upgrade :D
If you're into new ones, then have a look at the T150. Seems like good value for that price but only time will tell how durable it is.
Lots of products are discontinued, but you can still get new ones.
