PC save to PS4
Will it be possible to transfer progress from PC to PS4?
I would so much love to play this game on the PS4, because my PC is not that powerful, but don´t want to loose progress.
(rally-master, hillclimb-elite, X-profesional)
I don´t mean actual save files transfer, but maybe another posibility?

Thanks, devs!

Only if cloud save is linked between Steam and your PS4, otherwise i don't see it happening.

So, will could save be linked between steam and ps4? devs?

That's not up to the devs to decide, it's something Sony and Valve have to decide.

No, probably not. They talk about cross-platform stuff in Rally Show #8. However, just recently Microsoft announced that they want to go forward with games being able to be played multiplayer cross-platform (Xbox to Playstation), so perhaps the walls are coming down and we might see cross platform competition in the future. Even so, saving games between platforms may not happen, but of course it is possible. Getting these big companies to talk to each other about this stuff seems to be the main barrier.

I hate these stupid artificial "competitive" practices with sony
they make our experiences a lot less fun and enjoyable

Save games uploaded to Steam Workshop? That's a can of worms if I ever heard of one :p

offtopic: would love to be able to buy 1 game on steam and if I want I could move it to my PSN account and play it there with all my saves etc. but this is unthinkable it seems for these greedy companies

I bought the original Rocksmith on PS3 and when I bought Rocksmith 2014 on Steam I wanted to port my RS songs over. There was a ten dollar licensing fee to do so, but because I wanted to go from Playstation to PC it was never going to happen. I had to buy a Steam copy of RS so I could port my songs to RS2014 on Steam in addition to the ten dollar fee. If only these guys could all be friends. As usual the loyal customer gets a kick in the balls.

this only happens because there is no real competition on the market...one of the biggest problems gaming has

Of course it'd be awesome for us if that worked, but you can see why in practice it could be a bad thing for developers;
1. We effectively get two copies of the game for the price of one that you could give/sell to a friend unless you are also suggesting that Steam and the PSN merge to a single entity?
2. It is extra work for a developer to implement without any apparent reward in increased sales, in fact, it may decrease sales (see point above).
3. Market pricing structure- console games are generally more expensive than PC games- this is for a number of reasons, but one of them is that a royalty is typically paid to Sony/Microsoft for each console game sold. PC games don't have this cost, but then we pay more for our hardware, so console game prices effectively subsidise a cheaper console. If you could buy the game on a PC and get to use it on a PS4 then this would circumvent that, alternatively a surcharge should be added to all PC games to cover this contribution, but that would be terrible for all the PC gamers that don't have a console as well.

I guess an idea could be that the PC game is £40, but a multi-platform version is £55. That way the developers get some reward for the extra hassle, Sony only claims a portion of the extra £15, and if you don't want it then you don't have to buy it....

yes, that would be a good alternative :)
