Any more specifics, areas of the track you are struggling with? Lydden is the hardest RX track to get right, especially the joker. My little track guide (just for you :P) below. Hope it helps.

Lydden Hill Laps should take under 40 seconds.

Turn 1 (Pilgrims) aim to get most of the braking done in a straight line just before you hit the dirt, get it sideways nicely in 4th and get on the gas early to maximise the run down to turn 2.

Turn 2 (Devils Elbow) Braking from fifth gear, keep it clean and tidy 3rd/4th depending on setup here, remember it's tarmac so try to keep oversteer down (a little on corner exit won't hurt though)

Turn 3 (North Bend) In my Opinion hardest corner to get right, Braking down to 3rd and use a little handbrake on entry to help get the car turned in (I run my cars very soft so this probably isn't needed if you run your cars stiffer) feed in the power smoothly on the way out, easier to get big oversteer here if too aggressive on the gas, short shifting to 4th to minimise wheelspin can also help exit

Turn 4 (Paddock Bend) Dab the brakes as you the track widens slightly, down to fifth then a big scandianavian flick seems to be the quickest way to get the car turned in and keep speed up as you transition back onto dirt.

Turn 5 and 6 (chicane before the start/finish line). Be brave, slight lift on the way in to the first part, aim to just miss the kerbing on the first part as it unsettles the car too much and then clip the kerbing on your right to take the fastest line thorugh it.

Joker Lap: Braking is tricky for the joker, you pretty much have to be turning and braking at the same time so early on the brakes from the redline in sixth, keep the oversteer in check and overstop the car on the way into the kink to maximise the exit as it's tighter than you think. short shift to third to help get the power down and reduce the wheel spin.

Also the Joker at Lydden Hill is the longest as far as time lost goes, so it can be good to take it on lap one as it has the least effect on overall time then.

where are they getting you? Turn 4? Maybe try and clear them and then joker. Get a good start as always - try in 3rd gear even. The last turn is madness if you line up properly - make sure you got turn 4 sorted (may not include following "the line"). You should be able to get away with average joker lap but sort that too.

And I rekkon forget the brakes into Turn 1. Hammer in there as quick as you can and throwit sideways while dropping a gear or two - feathering the throttle if its not flat...

I caught a lot of guys in the last turn, can take that with a big slide in 5th gear, sometimes gotta drop to 4th.

Switching from a DS3 to a Ford Fiesta already improved my times on Lydden Hill.

My major issues are that when i mess up turn 4 i don't get the car stabilized quickly enough and end up cutting corner 5/6 which results in a 10 second penalty.

I like to think of the third turn as a good measure of where your at / how keen you are. Punishing for sure but more fastidious.

A lot of the corners are really something. There really is some extra special sections on all three of the tracks.

Yeah, but I love it though, only thing that annoys me with DS3 is that my driving style suits the 208 so much better than the DS3, so as much fun as I find the DS3 I can go quicker in the 208.

I suspect that is because I come from an rfactor/gtr2 background, so have a very smooth style where I don't slide the car much.... which the 208 matches IRL compared to Petter's sideways everywhere approach in the DS3
