Playable with a controller?
I love playing with wheel and pedals HOWEVER, family life dictates that having a setup like this (sometimes expensive) is not the best/practical solution in a family environment to have setup all the time you want to play.

So, that being said, is there much "game" when using a 360 controller?

Thanks.

It's enjoyable with a xbox controller.
I have a wheel but for the game I prefer to choose and run with my 360 controller ;)

Yes, "game". Throttle and steering can be an issue due to the limited range. Maybe you be lucky and find a sweet spot.

Don't update to windows 10 preview latest version as it states possible freezes using even a 360 controller.
What is so diffcult about getting their own products to work in windows 10

I'm running the latest version of windows 10 and don't have any problem. My controller is wired.

anyone have a sweet spot setting for controllers to share?

if you played a lot of racing sims withouth aids and are used to use the analog like it is a steering wheel with precision yes.
But if you go to play hard left hard right....you go to have probelms.

there are a lot of problems with the config of gamepad. The best is allways 100% sens and 0% linearity.
Becouse if you use less sensitivity when you n eed countersteering or do a hard turn is to slow. And linearity soft small inputs and some times this small imputs are things you want to do and you have more problems then.

Yeah DR is enough arcade for game pad lol
But probably not fun!

Dirt3 would be much more fun, No?
And you could play with your kids :)) splitscreen!!

Like I said - the range. Careful with seting up/using the throttle too because you can chronically bleed time if you not careful in places.

Dirt Rally is plenty of fun with a controller, and it works pretty well. Though I'd advise you to go for a Steam Controller rather than a plain XBox controller since it makes shifting easier.

i play with xbox360 since the beginning. if you are used to playing with a controller its good i'd say. maybe i don't match with the top drivers of the leaderborards but i've collected plenty of achievements and won some championships too. in my opinion this game is difficult no matter what input you use so you just need to practice and find the Car(s) that fit for you
