WARNING!! Very important to Logitech wheel users. Dodgy Logitech Update coming through Windows Update
I have a G27 with Profiler 5.10 and LGS 8.83.85 ( for my KB and Mouse ) installed.

Theres a Logitech Download Updater, that's the name of this update, coming through Windows update ( Win 10 here ) and is messing with Logitech Profiler.

Picture in Profiler changes to a Driving Force wheel ( My OS still see my wheel as a G27 tough ) and Profiler looses the ability to change Wheel rotation, enable/disable centering spring and use special steering wheel settings option. Wheel has a 180º degrees only and can't be changed anywhere.

Anyone got this update through Windows? There's any way to stop receiving this update through Windows?

Fix posted by Mister WU, at page 5 ( Thanks )

" Run the command appwiz.cpl uninstall the update and all other versions, run the command devmgmt.msc and uninstall the driver and then reinstall the oler version of logitech profiler, use the microsoft app to block / hide the new update and thats all you need to do. "

in the video you can see what the problem is. It seems to be an old one but unfortunatly the registery key isnt a solution for me either since i dont have the Compatibility Mode on.
Problem solved and fixed.
Found this thread : http://boxthislap.org/g27-not-working-after-windows-10-update/

aparently i hade installed (at some stage while delating and re-installing) the wrong Logitech Gaming Software 5.10.
Anyway installed now the Logitech LGS 5.10 x86 seems to have fixed the laging.
Still need to get my confidence back on controls, as kinda got used to the lag bug and fighting sudden suprise changes while driving.
Make sure you don't have any other controllers plugged in. Try a different usb for your wheel, and verify integrity of dirt files.

Just out of curiosity... What LGS you had installed? Because, for older Logitech wheels ( DFGT, G25, G27, etc ) only the LGS 5.10 ( aka Profiler ) supports those wheels. Don't tell me you had LGS 8.xx installed? LGS 8.xx is for newer wheels ( G29 and G920 )

You either install 5.10 x86 if your OS is 32 bits, or 5.10 x64 if your OS is 64 bits. Altough, i'm not a PC expert, but i think the LGS 32 bits works on OS 64 bits.

Anyway, i hope you finally fixed your issue for good.
OH $H!T3 ! lag hell is back. Funny it go´s and comes back after doing something to fix it.
My OS is 64 bits, so better try that one then next.
I just drove the daily stage at Monaco without any problems and hade a break and fired the game up again, and the lag was back to my suprise.

no other controllers only G25. Have done the verity files for dirt.
This is what the port for the wheel says : Port_#0002.Hub_#0003
so, does that say its a USB3 port? if so how do i get a usb2 port for the wheel?

Just wondering, ive got wireless headset that i use, so have a bluetooth plug in usb slot, but i spose that dosnt count as a controller.

im now attempting this, but dont know how to get here : "Navigate to the folder where you saved the driver to. You should have a file called lgs510_x64.exe or lgs510.exe depending on the version you selected"
Cant find any lgs510 exe anywhere in my files, wondering where the actual install went???
oh boy... just bought the Logitech Driving Force GT right now... please tell me it's fine :(
its not the windows update, its logitech. I always stick with a very old driver that works.
MY THRUSTMASTER RS 300 DONT WORK NO MORE :steamfacepalm:

It's fine. Make sure you install Logitech Gaming Software 5.10, only that LGS version supports your DFGT wheel. Choose 5.10 x86 ( 32 bits ) or 5.10 x64 ( 64 bits ) depending of what is your OS.

If you have Geforce Experience installed in your PC, disable Beta and Share / ShadowPlay. There's some bug where wheels won't work with both options enable. Some players even had to uninstall GFE completly to be able to have theirs wheels working.

Yeah, it's an issue with Logitech Drivers. LGS 5.10, from 2010, works fine with older wheels. In fact, it's the only one that works for DFGT, G25, G27.
after many moons and bottles of whiskey ive finaly gotit fixed.
Delated the logitech win 10 driver and installed the win 7 / 510 driver. No more controll stutters!
Im, using LGS 8.83 without any problems , then again i`m still using Windows 7 64 Bit :)
