M/h and km/h on digital speedometer

While driving through todays Daily, I noticed a built-in digital speedometer in Impreza '01 showing speed in imperial units instead of metric despite my ingame setting. Can this be corrected? Cause I'm driving without HUD and those mi/h numbers are really disorientating.

Unfortunately not.

The Lancia Stratos is even worse - it's Speedo has been printed Metric numbers, but for whatever reason it counts in MPH. So when you're doing 100 KPH, the gauge reads 62 KPH. Confusing and annoying, renders the gauge useless.

I never look at the speedometer. Maybe a quick look at the rpm but normaly I try to keep my eyes on the road.

who looks at their speedo when they are rallying? Thats deffo gonna end up in the scenery. Ignore speeds's you could never remember every speed for every corner on every stage. Drive by feel, listen to the engine for rpm, personally I'd like to have only a gear indicator and remove the HUD completely

I didn't ask for a driving technique advice. All I wanted to know is stated in OP. So the gauges are modelled after UK-edition cars not the proper pan-european ones, and this can't be changed. Ah well. Good thing the car setup values are in metric units, seeing those weird imperials there would be frustrating.

Oh, I can convert this units. I don't think I should be made to do so. And it's plain strange seeing French/Italian/Japanese/German cars with non-metric gauges. And is it that hard to make digital speedometers switchable?..

i would have thought all digital speedos would be switchable, after all, on a dial, it usually has mph and kmh on a real car.
