What do the small road signs mean?
What do the small road signs mean? I don't mean the pace notes.
The only one i could decipher so far is the one about 100 meters before the finish with a checkered flag on it.

The little orange flags are corner markers

Yellow=100 meters to cross road. Red=cross road

i wonder about the small red spikes. what do they tell?
BlueTheTurbo May 16, 2016 @ 3:06am
They are route markers which indicate a junction. The green ones are before the junction, the red ones are at the junction. The angle tells you which way to turn. The green markers are combined with a general caution sign.

I first though the little red spikes point into the direction I have to turn, but they often do not. O.o

Yes they do. Bear in mind they include 'straight on' junctions, or where the road only bends a little bit, but there is a junction there. Also, the green ones tell which way to turn at the junction ahead, not at the position of the marker.

Yellow is written to real road books I have. Those are quite close of green anyway.

In game I think those are too low. One meter it should be if I remember right.

anyway, this is useful, didn't know they were at a certain distance... I thought orange meant you had to be at least inside of the arrow or hit it to be a legal turn on those corners that are easy to cut.

They look green to me, but colour is notoriously unreliable across different PCs. In real life, they're usually fluoro green/yellow. Maybe some call it yellow, I call it green. Interestingly, what you call a colour is determined by where you grew up (i.e. culturally), it's not an absolute. Cyan for example - Germans see that as a variant of green, Britishers see it as a variant of blue...

true eh. Lots of things I'd considered yellow, others would call orange, and it's not cos I'm colour blind.
