What are the multiplayer modes?

Hey everyone, I currently play Project Cars because I enjoy circuit racing with various types of cars on real professional tracks. I'm interested in rally racing but don't know too much about it. From what I gather, most of the racing in this game is done through time trials as opposed to traditional track racing. Anyway, what are the multiplayer modes offered in this game and how do they work? Are they as fun and exciting as a typical racing game?

Offically daily, weekly and monthly global leaderboards. Friends times can be compared and their is also online pvp rallycross.

The only real Multiplayer is Rally Cross races. All others are time comparison..

Yep, Rallycross is the only game mode which offers proper multiplayer. It is great fun, although there aren't very many tracks, and you're only racing against a maximum of 3 other people per race. In this game they introduced the 'joker lap' for the first time, where each driver must take a long way round a corner once per race - a good addition which introduces some strategy to the racing, and makes it closer to real life.

There are track configurations and miscellaneous moments where Tue joker is faster... ya just keep using it when you need to.... =)

Which multiplayer modes? This is a single player game. Except of the three boring cross circuit races.
