turn off automatic vehicle recover
Hey, is there a way to turn off automatic vehicle recover? It's often annoy me, because sometimes i just hit something lightly and it just recover me. I must then restart the whole race, cause don't wanna add time by that...

Well don't crash if you don't want to gep penalised. Better yet, follow the spirit of the rally and carry on. :)

Yea :D kind of expected advice like this... :D but it's not necessary crash, today i just slightly get out of the road, really not too much and it recovered me...

If it recovers you next to the road..often times you get too near to some spectators. But on some places it is just wrong...nothing we can do about it...or never leave the road^^

I agree, automatic recovery is lame. I like the way RBR handled this - if you hit spectators, game over. Otherwise, try to recover yourself and call for help if you can not.

It's there to prevent people from taking too big shortcuts, and will not change.

Auto recover can be a real pain in the arse sometimes, it's an annoying feature. You'll often get a time penalty for seemingly no reason and in a place where manual recovery would have taken a fraction of the time. It may be a good way of preventing cutting, but in some places it seems like a bug - especially when you didn't go anywhere close to cutting or hitting a spectator. It's as if there are a few tiny out of bounds areas here and there which are not actually out of bounds. Unfortunately it isn't an area of the game deemed worthy of further development, but luckily it doesn't happen too often these days.

I never looked for shortcuts, it is lame practice for losers. So, I am aware of only one auto-recovery due to shortcut - in Germany, right 90 degree into left 90 degree turn with all flat grass around. I went off track there many times due to driving error and got auto-recovered. I would prefer to see road barriers there instead, auto-recovery is lame.
