The better one would be a Wheel ( of course ) and the next one a Gamepad (with analog triggers). If you don't want to invest on a wheel, at least buy a Gamepad, they aren't expensive.
A Joystick / Flightstick, for this game, would be great to use as a Handbrake. I, like many more players, use one myself with my wheel, and works great.
Now, I'd love to use my Force Feedback Joystick for steering, and CH Pro Flight Sim Pedals ( with plastic chocks to stop the rudder action), but unfortunately, Dirt Rally doesn't recognise anything except keyboard and XBox Controller :(
