Fanatec H-Shifter not working
Hi, I cannot get my Club Sport H+ Seq Shifter to work on Dirt.

I go to profile and set GEARBOX to:

- Manual H Pattern + Clutch or Sequential

I am then unable to assign the gear to my shifter:

e.g. GEAR 1 ( select 1. gear on shifter) jumps straight to unassigned.

I have tried restarting the game, unpluging and powering down the wheel base mid game, I have the latest software installed and the wheel with pedals and handbrake works.

The sequentiell shifter is recognized and works!!

Shifter is plugged into wheel base CSW 2.5, wheel base connected to PC USB 3

In Assetto Corsa the gear box works without hassle.

I have seen identical posts about this shifter that are 3 years old, but there are no working answers.

Thanky for any help.

Cheers

If the shifter is working in the other games, you should have it plugged into the correct port on the wheel. And I think there is something in the Fanatec app for combining the sequential with paddles.

The V2 base has 2 shifter ports, only one works for the H shifter, the other is for the add-on fixed paddles. The firmware has a H-shifter calibration mode. If the shifter is working in the Fanatec app test screen, you should be ok.

...............

There is a way to modify the V2 wheel file so the game will see your V2.5 as a supported device.
This link is for the CSL wheel, procedure would be the same. I think the PID number (product ID) for the V2.5 is 0004. You will need to change V2 ID of 0001 to 0004 in the 4 locations within that file.

* All devices plugged into the wheel base work into the game through the base ID number.
If your pedals are not plugged into the wheel base and are not the V2 set, you should also change those ID numbers too.

Fanatec Handbrake? If it is connected to USB port with adapter instead of pedal connection, see the last post (#15) in that link, allows the handbrake to work full analog in the game.

If you have other hardware that is not connected through the wheel base let me know for additional help, button boxes can be added to the xml file.

If you are having problems with FanaLeds, there is another post about that I can find.

Thanks a lot.

Changing the dvice ID from 0001 to 0004 worked!

That should give you full support in the game menus too. If you do not like the layout of the on-screen menu promps or button choices, that can also be changed within that file. Button command numbers in the file will be one digit less than your wheel number: Command action 0 = button # 1 on your wheel.

On screen command numbers are changed in the "icon" xml, can be set to keyboard labels, numbers or XBox icons. I can find a thread for that if needed.

Edit: Menu commands are lower in that file under < FE actions> and <Replay actions>

Be sure to start the game after the splash screen (press start to enter) with a button on your wheel (default is #10 on the Fanatec wheel) or the 'Return/Enter' (enter with left arrow) key on your KB. using any other KB or mouse command will erase your device calibration and binding config save and would require setting up the wheel again in the controller menu.
