Alpine's windshield

Hello,

what is wrong with this car? Broken wipers and no water/cleaning liquid? Even without this a car's winshield stays clean of dust in real life.
I love the car but this very stupid "feature" ruins it. Is there some way to patch this car?

it's a crap pixelated dirt build up that doesn't go away with wipers.

I would not drive a car with windshield that dirty even at 30mph in a city. It is not fun to crash or going slow in a race only because you cannot see out of your car.
Yeah, it is not a problem for people who race their cars using outside chase view, but I drive my car only using cockpit view.

I drove the car in Greece yesterday, after I saw your post, obviously in cockpit view (the only way for me) and... I understand your complain, the game isn’t realistic at all, It fools each of us !!!

Dirt Rally 2.0 is more realistic but, apparently, they forgot windows and windshield !

I only race in cockpit view as well. This issue has never been a problem for me. Additionally, this game is four years old. There will not be a change coming and this is the first I've ever heard of anyone upset about this. Now if we were speaking about DAKAR 2018 I could relate. This grievance, not so much.

I wish that people that have nothing helpful at all to say stayed quiet or at least did not offend other people that they don't even know. But asking for a mature behaviour is obviously too much here...

I who came form a video games era where you could count the pixels on screen using one hand (and would have fingers left) . . . gone through the large chunks of pixels of Mega Drive (Super Monaco GP and Virtua Racing) then PS1 . . .
Some dirt on windshield is far from being a problem.

The OP's criticism is fair, in my opinion. Whining about criticism on the other hand is, well... whining.

Renault Alpine is probably my favourite car in the game, but the super dirty windscreen can be a big problem. It can be very distracting when all you can see under certain lighting conditions (shadowy forest stages during daylight are especially bad) is the dirt on your windscreen. And the windscreen is always dirty on the second stage between service points, so that gives you quite a disadvantage against those who don't use the cockpit view. Still, I prefer the realism and the feeling of the cockpit view, it's just fantastic. And on the plus side I've also learned to trust and listen to my co-driver a lot better!

Now, I don't know what the official rally rules say, but would it be against the rules to wipe the dirt from the windscreen with a piece of cloth or something between the stages? Or indeed, equip the car with better wipers - the dirty windscreen isn't really a problem with any other car in this game!
