I DONT UNDERSTAND ANY OF NAVIGATION TIPS
what can i do?
my driving skills are OK, but, damn, this navigation motherlover just raps through his notes and it is ridicullously frustrating. i eff up 70% of my races only because of his everlasting and random tips.
"left 5 long 100 to right 3 half-long to right 4 wide long danger left 2 short brake stay in center jump right left up down pit forest sky 5 2 100 ford toyota skrrrr skrrrr esketit"
it's IMPOSSIBLE to match what he says and where i drive.
yeah, OC, he tells all this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in advance but sometimes it is WAAAAAAAY in advance.
do i have to GIT GUD? or maybe i can limit his tips, forcing him to shut the heck up for a while and let me pass through what he already told?
sorry for my language.

Watch tutorial? Adjust pacenote timing? Do a bit of research? There is nothing random about the co-driver pacenotes, every single one of them has a clear meaning and purpose. You just don't understand what that is.

In settings you can adjust how early the navigator will make calls.

Familiarity with the game will help you a lot, it takes time and it's an excellent game once you get the hang of it. Keep practicing and read a lot of rally driving tips and you will be a lot better at the game in no time.

A few things that took me a while to master was about using the foot brake and accelerator: there's many times when using the brake that you should be also applying the gas. In particular on gravel corners so you can accelerate out nice and fast, using the brake softly will help the wheels dig in an create more friction.

I also apply brake just after I leave a bump, stops the wheels spinning and gives more grip on entry back onto the road.

Honestly, I'd recommend turning it off at first. (You might even prefer it that way later -- although it's not really a very pure rally experience then, it makes the replays much more enjoyable imho.)

Part of the issue early on with the pace notes is that they're meant for someone who's *not* crashing all the time, and who *is* on pace. Once you get a better feel for your car and how it drives, then you can start focusing on learning what the notes mean.

Also, even with the spoken notes off, you'll still get the notes in icon form on the HUD.

dude, pace notes are so easy to understand,6 = full gas or how they say in wrc flat out,5 little less speed but u can still go fast,on 4 u slow a bit,on those i mostly drift,3 u slow even more,2 is way slower,1,hairpins/q etc u go slow with hand brake alot, pace nots are not so good for finland cuz of jumps, rest is pretty good

Yup, this is retty much what they are saying. Just mainly pay attention to the left and rights. The number means how sharp the turn is, with one being sharpest and 6 being a slight turn. So if you get "Left 6", you know there is going to be a slight left turn ahead. If you hear a "Right 1", then you know a sharp right turn is coming up and you can prepare for it. There is also hairpin (left or right), square turn, and the acute angle. Just listen to your co-driver. He is very important!

It is really a matter of becoming familiar with it. As was already suggested, adjust the time of announcement of your copilot in your parameters. The more you drive, the more you will understand and figure out what it means. After several hours (:))) 100-200 ?) , you will realise that you hear what he says, but your brain processes the info without thinking , and your driving will react ...as a reflex. You will also learn inconsciously by heart the tracks, at least knowing where are the traps.

In all seriousness OP, I'd focus on the icons that pop up on the screen and match them to what the pacenotes are. That said, I never got on well with those and turned them off pretty quickly. I got to grips with them on Dirt 3 where everything was a bit easier, I think it made the transition to Rally a whole lot easier.

I swear if I could kick that navigator out the moving car I would but yes I feel your frustration and find I tune him out and just glance at the screen icons off and on.

you forgot the unenthused "ta finish."

You can edit how soon or late the tips show up in the settings.
FleхAir Pootis Nov 21, 2017 @ 11:24pm
I prefer to know about turns sooner, it is easy enough for me to keep everything in mind.
Lexrax_TBD Nov 22, 2017 @ 6:10pm
if you want to know the turns sooner , set pacenotes to EARLIER. That way you can better visualise what is coming in your head and setup your cars attitude and speed to the correct settings.
