Driving Force GT stops working after pressing any button
Doesn't really relate to DR, but after the latest Win 10 update, my DFGT doesn't work.

When plugging it in, it works normally, steering works, pedals work and buttons work.
But after opening DR or the windows game controllers panel, and pressing any button on the wheel, it just completely dies. The axes get locked to the position they were in, and none of the buttons respond. Force feeback keeps working tho.

Logitech gaming profiler and windows game controller panel show the wheel, but nothing happens, it just stays at the position it were.

I've tried unplugging and plugging my wheel back in, restarting computer and uninstalling and re-installin the Logitech gaming software (510) multiple times with no luck.

Uninstall Logitech Profiler. Go to Device Manager and from the view menu select show hidden devices,..select Human Interface Devices and right click on your DFGT and select uninstall and check the box for delete device driver. Delete all the "ghosts" devices in HID as well.
With the wheel unplugged install LP and ONLY when it asks plug the wheel back in. Do not have any other usb devices plugged in except keyboard and mouse during the install process.
When you plug in the wheel the device icon will appear as it installs the driver wait for it to finish,...then proceed with the rest of the installation.

Okay, was it the drivers or the physical ports?
Thanks for the reply!

Tbh, no idea. The actual ports were sorta DOA when i bought my mobo. It did this weird thing where the ports worked for a while, but then after some time, or doing something (Like in this case) the dataline would go dead.
But now just recently, it just fixed itself i guess. Reinstalling windows and updating drivers didn't work, but after about 2 years of using the board, the ports suddenly started to work. So i can't really help with your case.. :'D

Which mobo does your rig use?

I have the same motherboard, so that's where the issues lie.

Probably yeah. These boards don't seem too reliable. Does yours do the same in USB 2 ports?

Also have usb 3. But I tried some different ports and it works now. It still goes mad when I push a button in the profiler but everything works as it should in game. Thanks for your help!

Good that you got it working. Also a side note, if you use any other version of the software than 5.10 (assuming you have DFGT) get 5.10. Only version that properly works anymore

That's what I noticed. Tried some older versions of the profiler but it didn't recognize the dfgt.
