This is our bugreport forum, please post about your issues here - all bug reports posted elsewhere will be moved here.

Please take your time to read following instructions, so you can make it easier for us to identify and fix the reported issues.

There are tons of different systems and different issues which will be caused by different things. Too much variables to guess right.

Before you do anything:

• Can you reproduce the issue?
  
• Try to reproduce your issue using a recent version of the software and an updated operating system.
  
• Has someone else already reported the issue?
  
• Use the search box to see if your issue has already been discussed.

How to report a bug properly

• Reporting an issue is fairly simple. However, the more information you give us, the better we’ll be able to help you to fix the problem. So, when you describe the issue, be precise - be clear.
  
• Which operating system do you use?
  
• Which kind of software/hardware have you installed? (This could be important in some cases.)
  
• What steps will reproduce the problem?
  
• What did you expect to happen? What happened instead?
  
• Please post screenshots if necessary.

If the game crashed, check the points below

Exactly when does it crash? When you start the game, can you see the starting videos? MAC or PC?
• Does your game run when started from exe ( VanHelsing.exe, not the _x64 or _86 )?
  If so, there might be problem with the steam functions
  I'll suggest the following steps( do it in order, and try running the game after every step ):
  
• Disable steam overlay. If you have Fraps installed, exit from that too, it interferes with fraps
  
• Disable steam cloud for this app, or on your account( don't worry, you can enable it later )
  
• Go offline mode in steam
  
• Delete registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NeoCore Games\DeathTrap). Don't worry, the game will create it again.
  
  If above didn't work, or it didn't even start from steam, try these steps:
  
  
• Try renaming the Videos folder, maybe there is a problem with the video player
  
• Try setting the Force32 mode. You have to modify the registry for this, if it crashes before the main menu. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NeoCore Games\DeathTrap\Force32bit -> Set to 1
  
• Try disabling controller. Same as above, but set the ControllerEnabled DWORD to 0
  
• Try running the game in windowed mode. Same as above, but set the Options\WindowStyle=0 and Options\Resolution=0 . This will start the game in 640x480, windowed mode.
  
  
• On MAC, there is only one reason I could think of crash is the user options. Try deleting it: /Documents/NeocoreGames/NeocoreRegDB.reg
