Having an MMO background, I know people who don't find it boring doing the same group dungeons over and over, and the same daily quests over and over again, but the older I get, the less this is my definition of fun.
How about a choice when making a character to have it ranked or non-ranked, a simple check-box or something. So non-ranked characters could play and enjoy custom maps, but wont be included in the ranking system, then hosts could set restriction to allow or disallow non-ranked characters, if a non-ranked character joins, the game session will not be included in the leaderboards or ranks.
This game looks so good, but I don't see anyone making fun maps when the characters wont be able to benefit at all when playing them. Please consider making a change to this system. Thanks
Wouldn't limiting the starting essence make xp maps impossible (or at least impractical)?
A simple but nearly perfect solution, IMO.
