How similar is this to Grand Ages: Rome?
I've played Grand Ages: Rome and really enjoyed the vibe it gave me. Somewhere between Anno and Tropico. I can tell there''s definitely more of a geopolitical spin on Grand Ages: Medieval, but are you at least still able to micromanage your individual cities and build each individual building? That's something that highly appeals to me and is a big selling point.

Judging by the extreme lack of new messages here, this game is DEAD. I have not played it over a year and a half. Keep an eye on your graphics card temperature if you play this game, for some reason this game makes my graphics card (geForce 960 NVIDIA) run HOT, and I think that it cooked by my SSD (which was near my graphics card) into failure after playing it for 6 weeks when it first came out.

To somewhat belatedly answer your question, this game was made by the developer sof the Patrician series of trading simulators, and plays a lot like those games in many ways.
It has no similarities to Grand Ages: Rome.

EDIT: And no, you don't micromanage your cities like in Rome. You don't even micromanage them like in the Patrician series.
