Frigates are adorable, thinking they can shield to avoid the damage, and then they lose most of their HP in one shot because they didn't run.
I am not sure I agree they're good at smashing Disruptors though. Still, getting the heal drones on the disruptor instead of a stronger target is a net win in my opinion.
Imagine no heat could leave your body(through skin, air or anything). Even if you were not to move, you would cook yourself within a few minutes, because the heat energy created by "living"(different functions throughout the body) wouldnt be able to leave your body.
Oh I got that, i just mean considering how the cloak actually works in game..wouldn't everyone..be dead? :O omg..ghost ship...
This is not a space sim its a MOBA of sorts and hell in stuff like eve the cloaking is way better,
I just dont see why this game cant have a better cloak thats all. A cloak that you can only fly with every few with seconds just hinders and slows the game play for the player/team IMHO. again just my 2 cents..
Obviously. But he was just messing around not suggesting reasons why the cloak should work in a certain way in game xP
I submit you are doing Infiltrator wrong. The DPS pressure from the guns is amazing and shouldn't be discounted. You DO disengage with the Infiltrator, but as a means to gain positional advantage and/or mitigate damage. You don't play the knife-in-the-dark game like an Assassin, you can't catch people on blinks with Ion Blast and Ion Drones don't have enough fuel.
You're there to break armor, distract from other dps, catch retreating enemies, and force ships to move.
As for optimal range, it depends a lot on what you're fighting. The bigger the ship is, the closer I find myself getting to it so I can get under its guns while still acheiving time to cloak via area disarm.
I mean or you could have an Enforcer that could be doing the same damage faster with better pursuit. The Infiltrator's damage is not so amazing that you wanna stack them, in my experience. Maybe in actual clan games that could work, but giving up another team slot to a soft ship that can't easily hold ground is a bad call for team composition, in my opinion.
