Strange buzzing sound? (SOLVED)
After this update, whenever music is playing it is buzzing HORRIBLY! So I mute the music in options, fixes the constant buzzing, but now whenever I select a different ship, or rather, whenever I click on ANYTHING, it buzzes when the sound plays.

Anyone else experiencing anything like this? Has anyone found a solution?

No sound card for me. I'm running my Razor Tiamat 7.1 SS headset off of my motherboard's outputs (works great). Never had any issues with it. Also on Windows 7 (Professional x64)

By the way guys, I've posted in the Fractured Space Official Technical Issues Forum, here is the link: (Still no help :/ ), I'll probably fill out a bug report soon too :/.

have it to, but just on my headphones... wierd

That would suck/be strange if it only effected people who use headsets :/. I want to play, but I'm not about to blast Fractured Space over my TV's speakers (mainly because they are in a weird place and the sound goes everywhere except towards the guy sitting directly infront of the TV, resulting in blasting the sound extremely loud... a no go in the block that I live in X_X).

I have this with headphones (wired) and speakers. different outputs for each one
Hi everybody, can those affected try the following:

Right click your sound options in the taskbar
>
Open 'Playback devices'
>
Right click on the sound device you are currently using
>
Open 'Properties'
>
Head to the 'Advanced' tab and select a different 'Default Format' from the dropdown list

Please let me know your results, this isn't a guaranteed fix but we had a similar issue on our streaming PC and this resolved the issue.

Yeah but that shouldn't be the solution.
Hot fix would be.

Hot fix will be, this is a workaround for now.

Was just making sure.
It just seemed like everyone only cared about the in the moment situation.
Thank you for your fix and reply.
Great game getting better.

PS: Key mapping is bugged.
Hidden binds not on options screen causing conflicts or dead keys.

So it's just the 24bit 192kHz that has a problem for now? Seems an odd new bug.

I'd wager Epic changed something in Unreal Engine 4, as the issue seems to have presented itself once we updated from 4.8.1 to 4.11.
