I haven't had this problem, myself, but to verify: have you checked your in game audio settings? What is your default output device? What specific hardware do you use for your audio? Also it would appreciated if you provide your system specs.

These are just some quick questions that will help the Tech Support staff help you out.

Do you have an oculus rift connected? I had an issue last patch where having a rift connected would cause the game to use that for sound. They apparently fixed it.

Hello,

If you're still getting audio issues, could you please try the following?

1. Right-click Fractured Space in Steam, and select: Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files...
2. Navigate to: spacegame > Content > WwiseAudio > Windows
3. In this folder, if there are any ".pck" files, delete them (organise by file type is the quickest way of finding them all)

Obviously if there are no .pck files this won't solve it... So let me know and we can try something else - or alternatively, contact the support team with logs and your DxDiag and we can have a look at them - information on how to get your log files and DxDiag can be found here [edgecasegames.zendesk.com].

If you add all of this to the contact form (https://edgecasegames.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new/), then the team can chat with you directly, and hopefully try and find out what's going on.

Also, I've moved this discussion to the Technical Support section so to keep track of this issue easier.

Cheers,
Beefy

I solved the problem by disconnecting my Oculus Rift.

I have this problem as well, with a rift connected, i think the devs need to look into rift compatibility because everytime i used to launch FS my oculus app would open at the same time and audio would default to the rift headset, i ended up having to disable the rift speakers when playing FS, but now i have no audio at all.
