Lol no. It's not an official partner of anything, and it's already dead. It was just a crappy ripoff used as a niche for doxxing people. Enjoy your 4 posts an hour.
I see. I run 2560x1440 so I find it hard to play at 640x480. That's why I was wondering why all of the backgrounds were that size. The unmodded game actually scales better much because it has higher resolution sprites and the backgrounds don't look as stretched at the 768p option or whatever. Thank you though.
Choices, choices...
2ch != 2chan
4chin "stole" 2chan's code,
2ch it's like the japanese reddit for 2chan users, google it if you don't believe me.
Now stop derrailing the thread.
Now that I hear them again, they where quite good.
A MangaGamer BGM mod would be very nice. It would have been cooler if it was included by MangaGamer themselves, like they did with the original and new sprites.
Doddler *hint, hint*
Well, that's what you get for playing in such a huge resolution. An anon of 2+2chan is trying to find a way to properly rip the ps3 backgrounds, but even them will be only in 960x720.
Well. know thatisn't really for him to decide. Fixing bugs is one matter but adding additional media files that may or may not be still licensed by MangaGamer... it's complicated.
I play it at 1024x768. What I meant is that apparently these assets are lower resolution than the default ones (which aren't stretched when displayed at 1024x768), and can only be used at 640x480 which is a bummer.
The default backgrounds are in 640x480 as well. Only the Steam sprites has got a big resolution size.

What I do know is that one of the graphics that it would use the old version of was one of the dam site backgrounds and the Onigafuchi swamp background, but those missing background are definitely in this patch, I've seen them myself.
That part makes sense... I think I figured out why the Mion one doesn't work, the script is looking for me_se_ma_a2.png (variation of Mion's angry school clothing sprite, me_se_ma_a1.png but with different hair in the original sprites, the 2 on the end of some sprites seems to indicate direction but is unused in updated) but while that exists in the original original and original updated sprites, it doesn't in the PS2 patch so it just falls back to the original sprites if it can't find an updated sprite.
Unfortunately the only way to know exactly which sprite is required would be to search through the script to the point where the error occurred. Which isn't always obvious because characters don't always show up on screen when talking.
I guess you're still using the 1.0 version ? I fixed that ages ago.
I suspect so because while I don't see any version information, I know I jumped on this mod when it was first released, and I may have neglected to update it and was too half-asleep to realise that this was the case. I'll shut up now.
