No Infirmary Staff Option? Among other things...

So I had just today bought the Collector's Edition of this game, and I was aiming for Shuu's route. I didn't realize to get there you need to join the Infirmary Staff on 4/11, however once I restarted the game multiple times, there is no such option avaliable?

I had supposedly taken a screenshot as well but its not showing up in the screenshots folder along with the others I taken too?
Also, the only achievement I got (or should have) so far was the Bad Ending where the Hawk Party kills you. I didn't get it although I got that ending. I tried multiple times, even restarting Steam. Nothing.
In addition, sometimes the game refuses to respond when I press 'Esc' to get to the save, load, title etc. menu.

I'm very frustrated. Please help.

If memory serves, you have to complete Nageki, Ryouta, Okosan, or Nanaki's route before you are given the option to join the infirmary staff. Just as you need to comeplete Shuu's route just to get Anghel's route.

EDIT: Looking at your progress, you don't have any achievements yet. Well, you better start going out with someone before you're eligible to get Shuu.

Oh? I didn't hear of that before. I didn't know that you had to do specific things in order to unlock other routes. Thanks for informing me.
The "It's a sad thing..." achievement however should've unlocked, since I got the bad ending several times just to get it. Its most likely something I'm doing wrong though, as I'm new to Steam and the game itself. I'll try going out with one of the boys before trying again.
