You can buy a Katana (Dam.+3, Crit.+3, Wound 6) in Orienting Village.
It's on the far southeast on the map.
(At some time there's a second main quest available in Big Town.
Within this quest you travel automatically to this location.)

Most likely you can loot or craft a better one, but i haven't come that far at the moment.

Grab a Katana, then buy a +3 scroll, and +3 it. And just make sure you're leveling Black arts, and Vanish. Vanish guarantees crits. Black arts drops wounds on crits. And if you have 1 point in triple hit, you're dealing out something like 50 damage worth of bleed damage cumulatively..a turn. >.>

There's also a unique weapon you get through the campaign you get the Katana, that gives less damage and threat, 3 more crit, and alot more wound damage. << Which is excellent for a ninja.

I use a katana +5 with amulet of 50% more damage on poisoned enemies, I put accessory that causes poisoning, and the Force Gaunts that ignore the armor of the enemies, I leave vanish a level 25 and black arts level 10, I get around 75 Critical% and giving about 90 in each attack.
