What I've learned about charms
I've been doing a bit of homework on charms and here's what I've pieced together:
I collected over 100 Pound of Rock items and made 34 charms.
The random charm generation seems to be weighted. The distribution I got is below (your mileage may vary).
Out of 34 total charms...
Burn charms... 11 (32%)
Confusion charms... 7 (21%)
Rage charms... 4 (12%)
Stun charms... 4 (12%)
Poison charms... 3 (9%)
Wound charms... 3 (9%)
Weakness charms... 2 (6%)
Percentages are rounded to nearest 1%, that's why it adds up to 101%.

The way charms work is you combine the charm with an enchantment scroll and either a weapon or a piece of armor.

Enchanted Weapons with Charms-
With weapons, the charm adds a damage bonus when attacking an enemy with that status already inflicted. It DOES NOT inflict the charm's named status.
If you have a weapon which inflicts Stun with a critical hit and enchant it with a Wound Charm, it does not now inflict Stun and Wound, but it does do 10%-40% more damage (depending on the level of the scroll) against an enemy who already has wound inflicted (and will still inflict Stun with a critical hit).
You get a 10% damage bonus per level of the scroll you use. A level 1 scroll with a Wound Charm gives a 10% damage bonus to the weapon when attacking an enemy who has already been inflicted with Wound, a level 4 scroll gives a 40% damage bonus.

Enchanted Armor with Charms-
Enchanting armor with a charm gives a resist bonus against being inflicted with the charm's named status equal to +1 per level of scroll. A level 1 scroll with the Poison Charm gives +1 resistance to Poison, a level 4 scroll gives +4.

++Since you can no longer upgrade already enchanted weapons by simply combining them with a higher level scroll, I recommend holding out on using your charms until you've unlocked 3rd or 4th level scrolls to maximize the effectiveness of these rare items.

When you start the mission "I have no words for this" (or something like that, the one about the not-talking talking sword) the first fight drops a pound of rock and you can abandon the mission and restart it as many times as you want.

anyone know if charmed weapon damage stacks?

meaning... say you are dual wielding 2 charmed weapons with 40% bonus on stunned enemies.

do those two 40% bonuses stack, for a total of 80% bonus damage on stunned enemies, or does it only apply the bonus once?

EDIT:

yes, they stack.
