A short review of the switch version
(I passed it without patches, that is, I did not see the ability to put markers on the map, or instructions where to go !?? and other bonuses).
Excellent optimization (the game goes somewhere in 60 frames) without freezes, lags, braking and loading. Story... Just a set of words as in some old games. Here is the enemy you are the hero, no pretensions to the plot. As a first work (brothers judging by the credits) great work. Before I opened the map at 80% I thought the game is such a good 7-8 score. But after 85% I changed my mind. (I opened the whole map, but it shows me that I opened 99.7%)

- I visited every part of the map during this time several times, for I did not understand and where do I go now? (8 quick access points is very little for this map).
- The map is as uninformative as possible. This is some kind of scourge of metroidvania, that everyone tries to give the most empty map without proper navigation. There is no understanding of what kind of neighborhood, did I miss something there or not, where was that gun that I saw? Where was the last place I saw Klaus? And where is the room that is completely open on the map but I couldn't get through because of a door I can't open yet? (and this is still more or less solved on switch, because there is a convenient function to save screenshots and even record short videos, which helped me a lot to find the gun, open areas of the map that I can't go to and so on [but not Klaus, and I didn't remember where he moved to last time -_-]).
- “Tricks” of the map, when I opened it, but there is an unopened section that will open if I double jump and push off the wall. So there is NOTHING there, it didn't open automatically until I got there with two abilities and only then it was considered filled. There were several places like that.
- The ability to “RUN” appeared when I had 90% of the map open. WHAT !??
- A lot of useless items (helmet 5% chance of not taking damage? Body armor 15% protection? A red vest to reduce damage from lava and fire? Why? (there are almost no sections with lava and no secrets where there will be lava or fire) Shield, which is not clear for what, because the bosses pierce it with attacks?) and weapons (enemies do not have a lot of health, I will not help all these guns with gradual damage in +1. The enemy has 40-70 health? How will 21, 22, 23 damage help me with him? It doesn't. There will be exactly the same number of shots. Automatic rifles are the same way. Even on bosses this +1 does nothing at all. Grenades and bombs over 80 damage. Where are these going? On bosses is unprofitable because of the amount of “ammunition” that requires on enemies so much is not necessary).
- Sniper, RPG, night vision goggles, boots and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tumbling that are needed in only a couple of places.
- NG + but re-collect all the skills and again several times to run to the same places?

It ate up all the fun at the end and I finished the game with a straight face :iris_heal: (the final boss is the easiest in the game, no damage at all).
With interest I will look at their next game, for drawing, animation and coding guys can do well. I take my hat off to the composer too, great tracks.

When I went through the game on release, there were no patches and no internet.
No, the updates that have been put out for the Steam version are not yet available on Switch. And I'm going to guess that it's going to be a bit to have everything moved over. Without a lot of resources, console versions of indie games tend to get their updates later just because of platform delays.

Hi,
There has already been one patch released for Switch, about 2 weeks ago, and the latest one should be out this week as well.
The reason for the delay is that unlike Steam, Nintendo requires the patches to go through an approval process which usually takes about a week.

Yeah, I read something like that, for that reason console patches are not a common occurrence.

The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
