Being a quest weapon, the magma beam is obviously very strong with a high dps, no wonder you can only get it after most of the major bosses have been defeated, and that it doesn't carry over to new game plus, there's just no challenge with it.
Don't really use throwing weapons other than a few mandatory obstructions you got to take out. C5 is useful for crowds, especially in that one room where there are several enemies, one is enough to take out most of them before they even start firing.
Black belt is really fast, you can do a quick 3-hit combo that does good damage.
Level 2 body armor would be ideal until you realize that the 15% damage reduction is nothing substantial. Metal Plate is more useful for it's greatly reduced knockback, less chance of falling too far after taking a hit. I suppose one useful accessory would be the X-Ray glasses (though the HP seeing function really should have been part of the tactical glasses ability), since weapon damage is all static, knowing exactly how much HP an enemy has lets you choose the right weapon to one shot them as much as possible.
Satchel Charge has big radius, big damage.
Still don't have magma gun and a bunch others.
I like the napalm gun, feels like an upgraded version of the pyro but a bit more expensive
Roll grenades I guess for bombs, there are stronger versions but are also more expensive.
For normal enemies GM launcher for low ammo cost and tracking, shoot and forget
For bosses in normal game any automatic secondary weapon, for end game and new game plus energy weapons plus the energy backpack destroy all bosses easily
Grenade: Roll grenade for normal enemies, C5 for bosses
