Cleaning up achievements

Hey all. Been loving this game and I only have a few more achievements left- the ones for endings 3 and 4, finishing new game plus and all the equipment. Have a few questions before I start into new game plus-

1. Can I unlock ending 3 and 4 in new game plus?
2. Can I only get all of the equipment in new game plus? And if so, does my inventory carry over? I think I have everything I possibly can pick up.

1. Yes, just don’t trigger ending 4 before you get ending 3 (meet the conditions for ending 3 and 4, first end the game before you open the secret exit for Dr. Klaus, then do so and end the game again).

2. No, you can get 100% equipment in your normal file without the NG+ items. Only some of your inventory carries over; outside of keeping your old grenades which let you skip the first couple bosses and retaining accessories like the blue suit and night vision goggles which smooth out endgame cleanup, you lose any electric/ice weapons and some lategame phasing/remote weapons, including the weapon the NV goggles are required for. All upgrades, abilities and unequippable items are lost, even those not directly tied to progression, including expansions or the Serum. You also don’t keep any of your unspent money. No Magma Laser either, probably because it’s too strong?

It’s also not much harder than the normal mode since while enemies deal far more damage, you can carry a lot more healing items; plus coming from a 100% file you won’t have much to spend money on otherwise outside of a couple new unlocks.

I was able to get all the 100% achieves before defeating the final boss (So, before NG+ unlocked).

Everything in your Item list goes *poof*, thus, there's no point in grinding up extra consumables before the last boss. Just take whatever you need for that fight, since none of those carry over.

As said above, NG+ isn't noticeably harder, as you get to keep 85-90% of your old equipment, so running around with a Blaster, Axe, Grenade MK2/Satchel Bomb/C4, etc. will make their increased hp feel nonexistent.

Each of the shops have 1 new thing for sale, one of which allows you to carry up to 9 of each item instead of just 3.

I expected to lose progression related stuff and boss unlocks, but losing the ability to run, and the quest rewards... (Magma Gun & Serum). Well, the Magma Gun is one thing, but the Serum would have really helped early in NG+. (I'm terrible at dodging and have a distressing tendency towards facetanking...).

You also have to recollect all the upgrades and Map items.


P.S. If you list what % equipment you have now, plus what you have now (yes, it will be a long list, please break it up by equip type, i.e. pistol/shotgun/grenade/melee/accessory), we may be able to tell you what you're missing.

Thanks for the help! I realized I was missing the flamethrower and boomerang. Derp. 100% equipment popped, now time to go for NG+!
