AI Voice Acting Divides Liar's Dice Community & Harms Sales
When it comes to selling friends on multiplayer games, I'd say I'm pretty decent at it. Sometimes the game is played and enjoyed for years, sometimes it's a flash in the pan. Sometimes I'll even buy these games for friends out of kindness. Yet a lot of folks I know that readily enjoy games like this one refuse to pick it up let alone have me buy it for them.

The consensus is this; the AI voice acting was not only off-putting but also morally dubious in terms of quality and ethics to them.
This is a common sentiment and whether you like the AI or not it divides what could be a thriving community around what I would otherwise consider a worthy game.

I think it would be prudent for the health of Liar's Bar for the developers communicate the plans going forward for voice acting in the final product.

To those that defend the AI voice acting I am certain the novelty of it is not worth the backlash in the form of negative reviews and lost sales in spite of the game's present critical and commercial success; those things will fade the moment another game of this type outdoes it with better presentation--because in spite of the award for "innovation" the games within this one are not new and have been around for centuries.
