willow without tuesday?

i just got willow and i built her but then i saw youtube tutorials and i just found out shes absolute trash without tuesday. but i wasted so much mats on her :((( how do i use her well without tuesday.. i got sotheby thoo.. or not whens tuesdays next rerun

you can use her without tuesday... Tuesday just makes her much better due to the array she deploys when she casts her ult (it causes poison not to tick down anymore for 3 turns) and Tuesday is much better at deploying poison on a massive scale...

Willow isn't bad without Tuesday and you can use her just fine with other poison characters. Though Sotheby would be one of my less favoured combinations then seeing as Sotheby has a hard time actually dealing damage with her poison... she's a healer after all. Maybe if you combine her and willow with someone like Kanjira or the deergirl (I keep forgetting her name).

Tuesday was a fairly new character and a halloween special for western regions... doubt she'll rerun anytime soon.

Tuesday is a huge power booster for Willow but Willow does NOT "need" Tuesday to work and she is not bad, that is just tierlisters once again overestimating the content in this game.
The ONLY time Willow without Tuesday would ever actually matter is Reveries.

Willow's game plan doesn't change much without Tuesday. All you really need to do is keep stacking as much poison as possible, Sotheby will help with this. Like Overeagerdragon says you could use Kanjira or Jessica.

Nobody can tell you when Tuesday's next rerun is. The banners are different between CN and GL so there's no way to know. However let me warn you that if Tuesday comes back on a double banner just forget about it and wait for her to come back on her own dedicated banner, the double banners are total scams.

I spent almost all I had to pull a Willow, then I spent all my resources to level her up. Holy hell she's ♥♥♥♥. I've been tricked by prydwen into thinking she was some sort of DPS powerhouse, she can barely make a scratch on mobs, turned out way worse than Isolde who at least can debuff, has area attacks and couples just a bit better better with Anjo Nala.
I must be doing something horribly wrong, no idea what.

There is no way to give constructive feedback without knowing what your team comp is and what exactly you’re fighting but yes, it sounds like something is wrong with the party comp. All I have to say is Willow is not Anjo who presses 1 button and sits in a lazy susan waiting for her bonded partner to breathe so she can FUA for massive damage. But in ideal conditions (not even perfect, just ideal) Willow will dramatically outperform and is unironically one of the most powerful damagers in the game, rivaling even Windsong. You just have to know the dance…

That's exactly (part of my) point. If Willow needs a whole specific team around her to be effective, the merit is on the team, not her. Besides, I tried everything I could through any available de/buff, and her damage remained laughable.

Correct but… This entire game is built on synergies. We’ve got J-NewBabel, Spath-Isolde, Poison, Petrify, mineral HP loss, Jiu-6, Lilya-37 or Jiu-37…

Characters like Anjo being their own team is the outlier here, not Willow. They’re even moving away from that design philosophy with Liang Yue being not nearly as cracked as other true limited units.

Even without Tuesday, Willow still has her uses in some situations. In Reveries, it's a popular pick to have a poison team for 300M-3 and other stages. I didn't have Tuesday or Sotheby so for lack of a better word, I was cooked.

I still managed to snag a win with just Willow. Although, mind you that this takes quite a bit of skill and specifically for this stage, a LOT of rng.

We in the same boat, but Willow is still a powerful unit by herself!! You probably just need to learn how to play her right (spamming her skills lol), and her passive applies poison every round and on every skill she casts.

You guys gotta have the mentality this is a team match game and the meta only really matters on the deep endstages of Reveries.

Despite some arcanists being strong by themselves, you still not getting full value without some others on the team.

It's kinda funny seeing the rage from the metacopers on the new 100Million dmg ultimate team or the ultra gamba inspiration when they discover the characters are subpar without having E.Melania, E.Pickles or a full stonked Barca/E.Voyager for the other lmao.

What irks me a bit is the fact they are implementing hoyo tatics in some stages like having 80/100% genesis dmg reduction, self debuff full cleansers instead of just one, and some others...

Man It was astonishing how quickly bluepoch went through the pipeline of starting with making so many bosses completely immune to control, realizing that it was feelsbad for any control based units and replacing it with the accumulating percentage resistance so they could sell more copies of Anjo Nala, and now we’re already back to so many bosses just starting with 100% or even 200% resist to all control except captivated…

If you don't have Tuesday you can use Sotheby (I generally use all 3 at the same time). The key reason why people want Tuesday is that Hag's Bane counts as poison which Tuesday can make Crit. Still usable, and banners do rerun so build her anyways.
