I don't have a problem with the 30FPS lock, and don't feel the control was stiff.
Camera panning took a bit to get used to, but it's not so bad.

The one problem I have with it is that Crouching and Dropping down platforms use the same button.

Sometimes pressing the button briefly doesn't register, and I need to tap it twice. On other occasions, it drops me down to the platform when I only want to crouch.

There is an option to assign this action to another button, but it isn't a full keybind, so half the problem persists.
Other than that,
The pixel art is insanely beautiful, each stage is not too short or too long, the story doesn't take itself too seriously, the characters are quite charming, and the music gives me goosebumps.

It's a great game for the price.

Summery: I was hoping to like this one but bogged down by unneeded mechanics and money system which side missions supports poor unlock mechanic instead of using those part for the already short story missions and even then they hardly put any urgency in the level design which you can just run though it and it's done. The visuals are cute though.

Pros and Cons

O - Great Visuals and pixel art specially the illustrations. They are very cute.
O - Player character with weight that feels nice to play jump and move around with. no floaty controls here.
O - A genre that fills the niche of being hybrid cross of arcade platformer shoot em up and the keyboard/mouse run gun action game that's pretty common during the Flash game era. We need more of this.

X - Option menu is confusing especially when they just give up and tell you to hit F1 for the extended option menu via drop down menu. It's a bit silly
X - While illustrations are great it get cut into Radio chatter UI on top of it literally the next second. Let me enjoy to cool art !
X - The music is fine though the sound mixing at time can be a bit weird. Stage 4 having a track so short that it stops into silence and start back at least 3 times over before you reach the boss. Theirs other times where the volume just increases
for no reason specially at the end game and that part was intentionally done by the game (RIP headphone user)
X - Un-needed mechanic that hinders how forward moving the game is. Money felt it was just way to to pad out certain part of the game and While there a wide selection of gears but half of them are not even worth carrying in your gear set as lead you to chance of buying into worst weapon variant specially with the the veritable of worst reload times and stance damage negative and positive outputs. there's a machine gun that hits 20 damage per shot the but if your moving which you gotta do 95% of the time, it does 6-7. Money is hard to get but forces the use of side mission to grind this however some of these side missions could have been used for the 3 of 8 story mission that are wildly short even for the genre. While this might have helped with the story mission there's a bigger problem with pacing which comes we come to the following-
X - Enemy placement is non existent at times and pacing. Their either stacked on top of you, too far to interact with you or like mission 4 the scaffolding just have enemies that barely get in the way of or can be sniped without it posing any threat at all or even look at you. It weird when most of this you can just walk pass everything with a breeze without the game making stopping point to put any sense of urgency like "Hey, do you job!" in a game where player character is part of the Disposal Squad. It feels like the game makes no attempt to care for me walking pass them so why should i care to stop for them.

Final note: It was a valiant attempt! I hope to see more from them and see what they learn along the way.
