Arrow only viable?

I've been trying to do an Arrow only run and I can't get to past wave 10. Is such a run viable or am I wasting my time?

more than viable, sort of, kinda - you will need 1 raven tower by wave 10 to take out the boss. bleed is great with triple shot, and the one that gives extra wood per arrow tower is a killer.

was never able to beat the mid teens with it. the splitting enemies were just too much

yes it is, but i was lucky and got the legendary bonus(red one) for arrow rain at the beginning

Arrow is weak compared to Rune.

I don't think you can win with really only Arrow towers, but if after you upgraded them enough, you replace every other tower by Arrow towers it might work.

Yes you can. Just finished the run. You will have to put a lot of bleed stacks on the enemy. You will need some Bodkin-Arrows upgrades or the Salve upgrades, to apply those bleedstacks constantly. Go for eight workers, the Lumbermill-Upgrades, the tavern and make sure to supply your workers with beer. You won´t need a gold mine or a quarry. Choose a hero that give´s you the 100 extra wood or choose one with arrow tower buffs. Bosses are melting, when you put like 24 stacks of bleed on them. It´s fun.

arrow only is totally viable, it is even compared to other strats one of the more easy ones, IF you get the Unique Banner -> Skyfall Arrows

Well just beat the game with arrow towers only. Didnt even get the unique Skyfall Arrows. I did get lucky by getting the highest quality banners like 3 times though.

Yeah the splitting enemies where a pain in the ass, lost several lives to them, made me set them the second priority with the shield enemies being the number one priority. After changing the priorities they stopped being a problem.
