It's getting close. I'm in the process of fixing the progression system because right now after 30 hours there's nothing left to unlock (this is bad for a F2P game).
But yes, leading up to the full release there will be a lot more marketing, and I'll get some streamers to play the game (hopefully!)
marketing is always tough but very beneficial. word through mouth is always great but more chance and community dependent. engagement helps, and free marketing (like just promoting the games social accounts). if you're good with computers, you can make a business account on most social media sites and try to run your own campaigns. those can be pricey if you're not careful, but you can get away with not so much spend and get some traction.
idk if i helped at all, doubt it lol probably been told all that by someone more qualified but gene shift is a pretty fun and i know you've been working on it for a while. i feel it can get decent player counts once it's finished and the right players find it. best of luck
Add me on Steam if you want to pursue the topic. I loved the game (I played it a long time ago, but I remember it fondly, wish you the best of luck and hope that the game will be still on and successful once I find more time to play it again).
