How to save my settings? They keep resetting themselves
When I start the game, the language always changes back from English to my native language. Also V-sync turns off. With every start of the game, I have to change the language and turn V-sync on. Is there a way to save my settings? I press apply when I change V-sync.

Nevermind, I figured it out.

Go to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[your Steam ID]\308420\remote

Open global_config.xml with a text editor (I use Notepad++), edit your preferred settings, and save.

When you start the game your edited settings should now be permanent. You can try saving your preferred settings while the game is open if you have issues figuring out which settings in global_config.xml correspond to what.

For me it's just the language that keeps resetting back to German each start...
same here, vsync is off everytime i play this. and running the game at 500fps does cause issues

Came back to this game 5 years later to say the same thing. I'm glad it supports 240hz but having to reset Vsync *and* motion blur every time I start the game is kinda...

Hi.
There is no global_config.xml file in this folder. Any idea where it could be?

I'm having the same issue and I can't find a global_config.xml file anywhere. There is a config.xml file, but there's no V-sync or language setting I can edit.

I honestly have no idea why you guys don't have that file. Try searching for any of these terms in the folder or in the location that Ziggurat is installed in, and edit the relevant .xml file that pops up:

<Config> <General> <Language value="English" /> </General> <Graphics> <Resolution value="1920,1080" /> <VSync value="false" /> <FullScreen value="true" /> <RefreshRate value="240" /> <Quality value="4" /> </Graphics> <AmbientOcclusion value="true" /> <ForceForwardRendering value="false" /> <Antialiasing value="true" /> <WaterReflection value="true" /> </Config>

I literally posted in here, and OP marked it as the answer. Follow the instructions lol.

If you don't have the file, CREATE A NEW TEXT DOCUMENT and rename it from .txt to .xml
