Optimal settings for Intel HD 4000?
So, I have this game through GOG.com, and after comparing it to its Wii U version, I feel the GOG.com version feels a lot more sluggish and not as good as on the Wii U. I had assumed it was because of my GPU, Intel HD Graphics 4000, but looking around further, that doesn't seem to be the case. What are the settings I can use to get the best quality and performance (with performance taking priority over quality)?

Detailed Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5 3320M @ 2.60 GHz
RAM: 8 GB DDR3
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000

720x1280
Very Low preset
Water Reflection On
Motion Blur Off
AA Off

you'll get 72 FPS average, may drop to the high 40s when enemies are many in a room

you do realize that the hd4000 is not really a gpu right!? it´s a joke of an onboard grafik. so you compare that to a console which was made for gaming? yeah makes sense.... :rfacepalm:

the hd 4000 came out 2012 and this game 2014...that alone should give you a hint about your system... dude, get a real gpu to enjoy games they´re meant to be played or stay with consoles. pc games don´t deserve to be played on such low and ugly settings. it´s not like a 900 series would cost that much, but anything, really anything is better than what you have to use.

Ok. One: Wow. ♥♥♥♥.

Two: Since I had posted this thread, the computer has died and thus is no good anymore, meaning I have to raise the money for a new one.

Three: I don't play games the "way they're meant to be played". I play games the way I enjoy playing them. It's a big part of why I don't play online, so I don't have to deal with people like you.

sorry i hurt your feelings so much by pointing out the obvious and my opinion.

anyway, i hope you´ll be able to get a new pc soon and can play games again, whatever way you enjoy them...

"Obvious"
I love how you use release years as a metric of performance

"Oh no this game came out on 2020 but my 1060 came out in 2016 therefore I cant run it" is what you are implying

go read minimum specifications for this game

It's fine. tbh, the way you worded it came across as sort of being a pretentious snob who thinks that if you're not playing a game at 4k at 60 fps or higher on the highest settings, you're playing it wrong, and I tend to get defensive with that as I've mostly had consoles and low-end computers for most of my gaming career. However, since I replied, my stimulus check from the US government due to COVID arrived and I had used the money to hire a family member to build at least a mid-range computer.
