Stuck in an apartment building

Please help! I'm stuck in an apartment building. Aurora gives me the key to apartment 13. But there's nothing there except messages on the screen and a closed door. I can't leave the building because I have to return the key. And Aurora doesn't want to take the key. I can't figure out what to do.

I'm also stuck here because I've just solved the message and got the two newspapers, but I don't know how to unlock the door, and when I go back up to apartment 42 she still seems to want something.

Figured it out. Just had to give the keys back to the girl in 42.
