When looking at the Battle of Normandy list of aircraft, it lacks allied bombers (other than the Mosquito). If devs can´t develop big bombers for this one (B17, B24, etc..), at least we should see bimotors like B25, B26 or A20.

That's been the case for years, additionally buying on the website means more of your money goes to supporting the game. Also I'm pretty sure they run more discounts on there more often. If you get Normandy on there now you'll get the planes as they're released (a few have been already) and the map. And as mentioned you can link your accounts.

A20 is already in game, and so is the B25 as an AI only version. They already announced the B26 as AI only plane with Normandy.

Since we are on the same subject; regarding linking IL-2 website to Steam, I noticed that when I play IL-2 in steam, my steam name does not show up in the IL-2 game chat windows....how can I fix this.

i just bought it several days ago and for 110$
it looks so empty and shallow
i'd never recommend this product to anyone with current stage of the game
you can't even see the shell bouncing off from the tank
c'mon... even red orchestra ,post scriptum has that effect...
and there should be more controllable things in the game
for ex: being able to turn off the turret actuator , being able to manually shift the gear on the drover seat ETC
......

you can buy anything from the IL2 store and use it on the steam version as long as your steam and IL-2 accounts are linked. It's also important to note that this does not work the other way around (buying steam DLCs without using the steam version)

they give germany all the bombers but all the allies get to fly is a lousy attack bomber. That's so annoying.

Being new to IL-2 (though I played the Ubisoft IL-2), even when the game has very good graphics and cockpit ops, it is short of large bomber operations, even with light bombers.

The problem with the heavy bombers is that you place more than 20 or 30 units in the game and have a strong handicap in the performance. Imagine a 100 or 200 aircraft in the same mission (years ago I played an old game with so many aircraft with no fps issues, but I don´t remember which one).
That would be great in Battle of Normandy, if it was technically possible.

The Lancaster (and Halifax, Wellington and any Eng. heavy bomber) would need a strong change in the game to play German night ops.

Here lies my quandary.... I own battle of Stalingrad (steam version) so I can run VR with BoPD. If I buy another program "add on" but from IL-2 directly, will it be recognized by BoS on steam? Not sure if that is possible?
