This game has always been a paid pleasure. Not sure if what we have been asking for ...faster content... is factoring in to make it seem ... cash grabby because large tags are showing up more often.. I am considering that factor but for me anyway...
It hurts to have paid that 180 amount already and see another 80 (or 65 even) dollar price tag just kinda left a sour taste in my mouth. Should be a coupon code for those who have purchased all 3 previous versions for the financial support given to the project? Seems that would be the decent thing to do.
The new direction is nice tho. Word of a Korea War project and then a Pacific War project is fantastic news. I'm just wondering if I need to be saving up if I want to enjoy the full content of something I like... instead of supporting the incoming projects that don't necessarily appeal to me.
Could you imagine being new to IL-2 and looking at these current prices. We from around know that the sales are good when they happen and that is when you grab stuff but when I wonder why the player count is so low sometimes I remember I've had much time to invest in these different editions and equipment. Also info on this game is scarcely provided, one needs to search for it.
I don't believe video gaming middle class adults are extremely common. The ones who fork out huge money for WW2 content then huge money for WW1 content then come and jam it up with you online... Remember not all planes come with these editions ... many are still sold separately. God bless the people we do have in this community that have acted like guardians over the years for small players like myself. Who have been great teachers and mentors as well, but in the name sake of growing this league of airborne gentlemen some discount packages need to be made up for new players to make joining this game online a reality for new players. Period. Discount supports for players who have helped see these projects through should be considered. If one owns all 3 or previous editions of, however many there may be of that series.... some consideration should be given for that final edition for those who have supported it along the way. Call it a loyalty discount or something, link it so some airmen award for continued service lol I don't know but feel so sorry for new players.
I purchased Stalingrad for 12.99 I believe and Moscow for 23.99 ... Kuban for 42 or 49 dollars I believe. The current prices of these editions should get a reconsideration.
Online play ( which is what most are here for, playing by yourself only goes so far, it does get boring ) requires much content in terms of available planes from every edition made for the most part... if you don't have it, it's a game breaker basically. Considering getting it is a wallet breaker.
sorry for the length, thanks for reading.
