What game?
I am looking to buy IL2 again with the BOB aircraft. Going for battle of Normandy and the base game is pretty expensive and Indonesia want to fork out that much right now. I seen that there is IL2 Cliffs over Dover, I'd this a good choice to go to test the game out?

IL-2 Cliffs of Dover is the one you want for Battle of Britain. However, it is an older game by the original developers and it is not part of the Battle of Stalingrad "Great Battles + Flying Circus" family. Cliffs of Dover has some great features, but it isn't as user-friendly to get started in as this newer series. I love WWII air combat sims in general but I never really enjoyed playing Cliffs of Dover. Flying around over London is cool though.

I don't think using Battle of Normandy will be very satisfying for Battle of Britain. First, no London on the map. Second, you'll have to buy more addons to get a plausible plane set. The earliest Spitfire is a Mk.V, sold separately as a Collector Plane, and the Hurricane Mk.IID is also a separate Collector Plane. And you'd have to buy Battle of Moscow for earliest German aircraft.
