The Normandy module has certain planes, the Bodenplatte module has other ones.
Multiplayer will be limited for you if you only have Battle of Stalingrad but it is possible.
I believe Battle of Stalingrad includes the two demo tanks you can operate.
DCS is an expensive button pusher's wet dream. I enjoy flying the WWII aircraft I paid dearly for, on the maps I paid dearly for, but unless you're willing to buy scripted campaigns or build your own missions there isn't much for the single player to do except pattern work or shoot up random trains.
IL-2 Cliffs of Dover - Blitz Edition is essentially the middle ground between DCS and Battle of Stalingrad. It has an extensive collection of flyable aircraft with clickable cockpits, and also some scripted campaigns included. The graphics are approximately similar to Battle of Stalingrad's. If you're looking for a sim that balances quantity and quality it may be worth your time looking into. Personally it is my least favorite of the IL-2 franchise titles and I don't even have it installed on my PC right now.
