I found this product review though:
https://www.microcenter.com/product/471492/thrustmaster-t-16000m-fcs-flight-stick
Don't. It is completely outdated and doesn't have enough buttons on the stick itself to work in combat flight sims (especially more modern ones if you ever intend to play them).
The best budget stick right now is the VKB Gladiator NXT EVO. It's more expensive than a t16000000m but is simply far more functional. It also has a bunch of moddability so that you can continue to use it in other roles if you ever upgrade to a better stick, for example it can be turned into a single throttle for planes, into an omnithrottle for spacecraft, into a collective for helicopters, etc.
The TWCS throttle is pretty good for the price though, you should get it alongside the gladiator.
As an aside, of the two 160000ms I have owned (bought one before they were called that, back when they were green) both have had the throttle on the base of the joystick die. And quite quickly too.
In DCS World, I use two modifier buttons assigned to the throttle to give me 3x the buttons on both stick and throttle. It really opens things up, especially since I only play in VR and can't really use the keyboard. I've had them for 2 years, and have never had a problem. I did modify the throttle with an upgraded impulse slider by CoreHawk3D. The OEM slider just sucks, and is the only bad part about the throttle. I barely use the slider on the actual stick. The awkward placement combined with the fact that I have the separate throttle makes it unnecessary. I have it set to propeller RPM currently.
The VKB Gladiator is a sweet looking stick, though. You've got me thinking about picking one up.
