I think its possible only if others have your skin downloaded too. i have seen some huge skin files you can download, try to get yours included, there is a skins section on the forums. someone correct me if i'm talking crap.

No and never, because custom skins use swastika! Some use swastika even with red/white background.

Even in the past the old IL-2 1946 had swastika disabled and all IL-2 Games follow the same spirit.

Not sure what Sam is on about... There is nothing stopping you from using a skin with a swastika but most customized skins I've seen online doesn't use it. If you have the skins of other players aircraft installed on your machine, you will see them online. So if they haven't downloaded your personalized skin it won't be visible. It is as simple as that.

I fly with a virtual squadron and I have downloaded a pack we have put together since we use personalized markings. I also have the personalized skins of some other squadrons that we fly with frequently installed. One of those squadrons is using swastikas...

I would never bother to waste storage space downloading custom skins from random players though.

If you have custom skins you want others to see, you will need to upload them to the forums so others can download them.

Thanks Leigion. I just downloaded everything from you.:P I wonder will there be performance hit for having so many skins in game. It's like nearly 10gb of skins.

No, theres no hit for having all the skins. Did you download all the skinspacks and the megapacks or just the megapacks?

The megapacks include all the packs with the same # that way you only have to download the megapacks and any of the packs that aren't inlcuded.

I'm going to update it every once in a while so check back for more skins :)
