Difference between F2 and E7 compared to F4?
I wonder what the differences are compated both to F4? And is there any reason to use these early model? Latest model is often the best one, right?

Yes, you do. F2 and E7 is like I-16, il2 mod 41..., i. e. just for filling of plane roster. They are used rare in online game mode, when F4 is inacceptable mostly. If you look at BoKuban plane roster youll find such fillers even more.

Difference between F-2 and E-7

- same to similar FM
- lighter
- same engine

Compared to F-4 and G-2

- less horse power
- older engine

For Multiplayer is the latest model the best one if you fly fighter planes. If you fly Bombers you can use the early models, too.

I disagree. With the engine limitations of the G-2 the F-4 is actually a better turn fighter. So what plane you pick depends more on if you are into boom'n'zoom or turn fighting. Newer isn't always better.

So, I guess it's better to pick either F4 and G2 and totatlly ignore F2 and E7 unless the former is not an option.

An other question: What's the advantage of using 111 instead of Ju88? It seems like Ju88 is superior in almost every way.

Ju88 is available with BoM only, i. e. you need to buy BoS and BoM.

I meant performance wise of course. Not DLC wise :P

Ju88 is much better than He-111 of course. This is the reason of including it to DLC for its price. Now they offer a single Yak-1b for 20$. So you can easily wonder what we will see in the future (if this game has it at all).
Ivan Dolvich Sep 12, 2016 @ 12:26pm
Ju88 is no DLC plane. It is part of the IL2: Battle of Moscow http://il2sturmovik.com/about/

Marc Crass is trolling again ;)

I may rephrase my question just to be a little more clear.

In performance wise(any in-game experience, not the price or obtention of the game/plane), is there any reason to use 111 over Ju88? They both have the same loadouts, tho Ju88 is a lot faster and more agile.

The Ju-88 is a high speed bomber compared to the slow 111. The Ju-88 can two things dive and horizontal bombing where the 111 is a horizontal bomber only. The 111 is slow and climb very slow and need more protection compared to the Ju-88.

The Ju-88 is clear the winner because it is faster + climb faster + can do dive and horizontal bombing + more agile.

Short said online you need to be fast! And online every second decide over win or loss.

Battle of Moscow is a DLC at all. Ivan Dolvich is stupid again. :(

Well... on the steampage it says BoM counts as DLC for BoS. I thought it would be stand alone. Apparantly I was wrong. Does anyone know more?

Here the offical answer: " Battle of Moscow can be purchased as a standalone product from our website, but on Steam it is available as DLC for Battle of Stalingrad. "

Pretty sure it was cheaper and easier for them to add it as DLC on steam.
