if your using a rift, press the button on the right controller and recentre via oculus software.
does this happen in every aircraft?
if the above doesn't work, put yourself in the correct position and hit f10 so save that location as your default.
Unless I'm very much mistaken, NUM 5 is the default key for resetting various cameras... it is not the key to reset your view in VR. There is an entirely separate control for this function called "Default VR View", which is found under the Pilot Head Controls section. I can't remember if it has a default setting or not, you might have to bind it yourself.
(If NUM 5 is in fact the default key for resetting VR, then I apologise for not being able to help!)
The view seems to twitch like it's resetting, but doesn't really change position. It still wants to be outside the canopy or pressed against it if I've got the limit VR view on.
The thing that really bugs me is that Elite Dangerous, AeroFly, and DCS world all work fine but this game that looked like it might be interesting doesn't seem to work in VR and I've got no interest in playing it without VR.
It works perfectly in VR because I play it all the time. It's just a small issue on your end that we need to figure out, that's all. Try what Orlok said and get back to us.
Now that I've got it working at a basic level I can start mapping controls to my hotas and start trying to learn the game.
It strobes like crazy when loading a mission. Is that another issue that's only affecting me, or does everybody get that? Once it's done loading and puts me on the briefing screen, it looks normal.
Using a Rift S with latest firmware and driver. 2070 with latest driver. 16 gigs ram, Win 10.
strobing in load screens is a current bug.
b. the f10 key saves your position to wherever your head is when pressed.
that will solve your issue
As Orlok says, pressing F10 saves the current position of your head as the default position. Then when you press your VR view reset key, it will return your view to this set position. You can use this to fix the Lagg, by physically moving until your head is back inside the cockpit, and then hitting F10 to save it as the default position.
With IL-2 or Steam VR? Until recently, SVR would show an empty zone with a loading box in the middle of your view which was fine. Then IL-2 was updated and I also had an SVR update, and the strobing started. I'm not sure which one is at fault.
I'll try the F10 thing next time I run the game. (I don't do much gaming during the week but usually have plenty of time for it on weekends.)
America has HKs back my friend. Everyone but Democrats anyway.
