Hopefully someone comes in with some hands on experience.
I only have the first Rift atm, but i can comment on the Quest 2 after the weekend probably, supposed to arrive on Friday.
From what I've seen, I'm hoping to get a Rift-S.
* Light setup (no external camera, easy instalation)
* Comfortable unless you have a large head (I've spent hundreds of hours with it as I only play IL2 in VR)
* Superb display renders every details with no screen door effect at all
* No strings attached with Facebook like the Quest 2.
The drawback of the G2 are
* Not cheap compared to an oculus quest
* High resolution = you need a good computer to get the max out of it
* Hand tracking in other VR games can be frustrating : it's good in front of you but there are too many blindspots.
complete AMD build, 3900X CPU 5700XT nitro+ GPU 1tb NVME drive, 3 SSD drives, 5 HDD drives for storage.
All liquid cooled with my own cooling setup using 3 rads. I can run IL2 BoS on full graphics no issues, however I do plan on upgrading to the 6900xt nitro+ once it isn't overpriced or I can pre-order one at MSRP.
