VR Out of cockpit
As the title says when i load in the planes i appear outside the plane i've tried to recenter it with b oculus reset view and the ingame key (numpad 5 + f10 key) but to no succes can't really find a clear soulution to this problem. i've looked on the forum but still didn't find any clear fix to this maybe it's because i'm blind i'm not sure but i would appreciate if anyone told me how to fix this issue

I use the "Reset Camera" command in the game's camera controls. I don't remember what it was by default but I have it mapped to just one key, the NUMPAD 5 key, because that key is easy to find by touch while I'm in the headset. I also use Voice Attack speech-to-keys software and I have NUMPAD 5 mapped to my IL-2 profile so all I have to do is say "reset view" to center my cockpit view in flight. I usually test the voice command at the main hangar screen.

Thanks for the reply but as i wrote i've tried the numpad 5 key (reset camera) but everytime i try to use that key to recenter, it still puts me outside the cockpit on the wing. i'm not sure if you are talking about an other key or the key i have already tried in the case of me misunderstanding then i do apologies.

If you don't already use SteamVR, try that. If it works but you don't like having the SteamVR enviroment running in the background, you can (with Oculus headsets) then bypass SteamVR with the freeware OpenComposite. You'd still launch Stalingrad from the Steam Library using the SteamVR option but it you won't really be using the SteamVR enviroment, and that saves some memory overhead.

I forgot how much headaches it causes to launch Stalingrad through the Oculus library. I had headset orientation problems like you mention until I figured out the above procedure. I'm using Oculus Rift-S.

I don't get how this is still an issue.
It's clearly a bug, and one that's been around a couple of years.

It happened to me 3 times tonight. Twice mid game, and once as I started.
For some reason, the game wants you to start it in your seated position or it's all out of whack.
That's inconvenient, because my HOTAS setup is not near my kb/ms.
I've never come across this problem with another VR title. Clearly, wherever you're sitting is where you want your seated position to be. If you move from it, every other game lets you simply resert (either in game or via steamvr dash). But in this, you have a weird floaty cockpit that moves around. By design? I can't see how that makes sense.
And of course I've unticked the box that's supposed to not allow you to move outside the confines of the cockpit. And of course I've hit '5'.
There is a gamebreaking bug here that is incredibly frustrating & that multiple people have had and it still hasn't been fixed.
I'd refund the game too, if it wasn't so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantasic when it worked.
But seriously... I've had the weirdest things happen, like turning to see an enemy fighter over my right shoulder and suddenly my cockpit viewpoint has completely changed position. Sometimes I get it back. Sometimes it's off center from then on. It's a little left. Or I'm slightly high, or on the wing.
Devs... whatever idea you had... it didn't and doesn't work. The VR view should never float around because I move my head. If I move my head too far... my bad... but that's on me to then recenter.
I really hope it gets fixed because I'm loving the game, and am keen for some of the DLC. But not until this is fixed.
Also... for those of us in VR...letting us navigate menus etc with our flight sticks or POV hats etc is an idea you might wanna think about. I don't want to take my HMD off and have to use my kb and mouse ever. Pretty standard stuff in VR.
