Jason
If you are mostly MP guy i would pick yak1b, 190a3, spit.mk.Vb, la5fn or 109g6 (by this order).
I would suggest the same for SP but be careful to pick plane that fits into your game title bos/bom/bok.
They're not all "pay2win" rather aircraft that have a unique place in history etc.
I like the j52 for example.
I do tend to fly more in MP than that I do in SP. I own BoS, BoK and the Spitfire Mk Vb. I'm heavily considering buying the g6 now though, since it appeared on both your and Jason's list. I'm a fan of the G series planes and I want to expand a bit more on my collection for the axis side. :) Definitely solid advice from both of you!
Yeah, true. I didn't mean that there are planes better than others, but more in what collector planes some people enjoy the most etc. Every plane seems to have its own strengths and flaws and it's up to the pilot's experience to excel. Everytime I try out a new plane it feels like i'm playing an entire new game, haha. Seeing what other people's favourite collector planes are helps me in deciding what planes I should get next :3 Maybe they help shed a light on a plane that I hadn't considered yet.
The P40 is a personal favourite as one really *has* to manage the engine. Almost every other plane afterwards seems *easy* to fly.
The Mc202 always feels like flying a rebel space ship to me because of its unique cockpit.
Might be worth taking a peek at the Hs 129 B-2 but I cant comment on it as I rarely fly LW combat aircraft.
Learn to read. I said you can buy dlc that requires other dlc to run. To play 109 campaign you must buy map, asset pack and plane. So it's not a problem on steam to sell dlc if that dlc requires other dlc. Because il2 does not sell on steam scripted campaigns that requires other maps than stalingrad. While DCS sells everything without a problem.
