Bodenplatte or Kuban

Thinking of picking up one of the expansions just for a change of scenery. Which of the the above would you say is the better purchase? Form what I have seen Kuban wins map wise hands down?

Depends a lot on the planes you are interested in. Western vs Russian.

I would highly recommend Bodenplatte because imo you get a lot more interesting aircraft

I would buy bodenplatte then get Kuban on sale later. If you play online then combat box will be your server for planes as they focus on late war so bodenplatte. Otherwise Wings of liberty for earlier planes like Kuban/Moscow/Stalingrad.

Either way if you check the 1C website you will often find sales of the older products. Meaning its better to buy the newest stuff at full price as the older will be on sale later in the year and the newer products will rarely be on sale.

Kuban is nice because it has mountains and hills, not all flat like Bodenplatte. But Bodenplatte has more aircraft, so you'll want to look them over see what planes you want. TO me hilly mountainous landscapes are much nicer that flat everything looks alike areas especially when flying without GPS and navigating by landmarks and map.

You should also keep in mind that you can easily fly the kuban map because you can play it on multiplayer servers even if you dont own kuban

Their are some mountains in Bodenplatte as well, though they tend to be away from many of the fighting regions. Though i believe even with bodanplatte you can fly the kuban map if i remember correctly. I mean in multiplayer i constantly fly kuban and bodenplatte with people who only own stalingrad so for sure base your purchase on the planes rather than the map
